5 Tips for Using Majic Tractor, Truck and Implement Enamel

Whether you’re a professional painter or not, there are several basic tips that you can follow to ensure your tractor looks its best after giving it a new paint job with Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamel from Majic Paints. The first thing to remember is to strip everything, meaning you can then start from the base metal. After doing this, you will be well on your way to giving your tractor a show-quality paint finish. Let’s take a quick look at five tips for painting your tractor.

Tip 1: Sand the whole tractor

To remove all old paint, as well as all rust, you need to use an 80-grit sandpaper to sand these elements off. If there are any areas that are heavily rusted, make sure to focus on them. If you try to paint over rust, you’ll notice that the rust eats through the paint.

Tip 2: Tape off areas that you don’t want painted

If there are certain parts of the tractor that you don’t want painted, such as the steering wheel, you have to tape or mask these areas off before painting. A great way to go about masking them from paint is by placing trash bags over them.

Tip 3: Don’t forget primer

All surfaces that you want to paint with Majic Paint need to be primed first. When you prime, remember to prime with a light color, and for tractors, it’s usually best to apply at least three coats of primer.

Tip 4: Use Majic Paints

After your coats of primer dry, it’s now time to spray on two to three coats of Majic Paints Tractor, Truck and Implement Enamel. When reducing paint for a sprayer, do not use water. Use Majic Paints reducer for the best finish. Always remember to let each coat dry before spraying on the next coat. Each coat is generally dry in 24 hours. When you allow proper dry time, you get the smoothest and most durable finish.

Tip 5: Apply clear coats

Once the paint dries, it’s then time to apply one to three coats of clear coat. Clear paint will ensure that your paint job lasts for as long as possible.
