Allis-Chalmers Company is celebrating its 100-year anniversary. Referred to as “100 years of progress,” the year 2014 marks one century for a company whose tractors and equipment stood out in the field with their signature orange paint. Even though the company is no longer in the tractor or truck making business, it still works hard to reach the everyday consumer in order to deliver the best possible customer service and DIY knowledge.

Celebrating a Century

While nothing is set in stone right now, there is a celebration planned for the company’s 100-year anniversary and it is going to be exciting! Activities are being planned involving the LaPorte Works grounds and buildings, hosted by the Rumely Allis Chalmers LaPorte Heritage Corporation and Center. The event is being officially named as follows:

“Centennial Celebration” LaPorte, IN, August 14 – 17, 2014: Celebrate 100 Years of Allis-Chalmers Tractors and Farm Equipment.

As more details about the event are being finalized, expect more announcements to spring up. These details will include not only specific times, but also more information about the activities that are being planned.

There is also mention of another event, the Century of Allis-Chalmers Show, which will be held in 2014 in Union Grove, WI. This is being referred to as a “must attend” event, but there is no planned date for this event yet.

For individuals searching for the exact Allis-Chalmers orange paint color, Majic Paints carries it in their signature tractor, truck and implement enamel. Restore your classic A-C tractor with the best paint available.

Majic Paints has always worked hard to deliver the best service to the everyday consumer, homeowners, and DIYers.
