What to Look for in Tractor Paint

Paint is a huge factor when it comes to both the overall look of a tractor and its staying power. Though paint may seem like a trivial thing in the scope of all the parts that make a tractor function properly, it can certainly affect how well your tractor performs and how well it can withstand the years of punishment you will likely dole out. There are a few different things you can look at when it comes to choosing the right tractor paint.

The first factor to consider is, of course, color. This is more for the overall appeal and look of the tractor and your own personal preference. Though color may not be a deal breaker, it is certainly something that everyone considers. Brighter colors, for instance, may be a bit more eye catching, but the pigments used to make these bright colors have a tendency to make enamel brittle when exposed to light, making them a great short term choice, but not necessarily a wise long term choice.

The second factor you should consider is formula. With a product like Majic Paint Tractor, Truck, & Implement Enamel, buyers can be sure that the product has been well tested and that it not only completely and adequately coats your machine, but also that it will last. Formula differs from brand to brand and it may be necessary for buyers to do a bit of background research about formulations and what is best for tractors prior to buying.

The last issue to contend with is how you will be storing your tractor. For those machines that are always parked outside, that do not get washed frequently, and are essentially work machines, it is important to choose reliable and durable all-weather paint. These types of machines need a very durable paint that is designed to take weathering. For those machines that are parked, in a barn for instance, paint can be a bit less durable.
